Product Information: One of many phytoplankton live cultures offered by us. Chaetoceros Calcitrans is a brown marine diatom commonly used for feeding filter feeding fish. As a diatom, this organism requires a source of silicon (sodium silicate/water glass preferred). to grow.

At Wild Chemicals our Chaetoceros is cultured using F/2 in a marine mix supplemented with sodium silicate.

Our cultures are regularly examined for viability by reviewing cell color, morphology, and essential cellular functions to provide a healthy culture right to your door. 

Volume ordered may come in multiple bottles to meet your ordered quantity (ex. 2 16 fl oz bottles for a 32 fl oz order.)
